The Theocracy of Athos is the largest nation on Asvelda, located in the eastern-central region. Its government and laws are based entirely on the tenets of the Fahros religion.
History
[edit]Athos was once part of the Chronos Empire. Around 3,000 ATF, migrating Elves introduced the Fahros faith to the region. This sparked a revolution that led to Athos's secession from the empire. Since then, it has had frequent conflicts with the Kingdom of Chron.
The nation is ruled by a Pope, who serves as the head of state. In 4,500 ATF, Athos formed an alliance with the Republic of Elysia, aiding them against Chron in exchange for the spread of their faith. Its current status after the Second Mysterious Incident is unknown.
Society & Technology

- It is the most militarily powerful of the three nations.
- They are leaders in the magical schools of Earth and Water, and possess magical naval ships.
- They are the continent's primary agricultural producer.
