== History == Athos was once part of the Chronos Empire. Around 3,000 ATF, migrating [[Elf|Elves]] introduced the [[Fahros (Religion)|Fahros faith]] to the region. This sparked a revolution that led to Athos's secession from the empire. Since then, it has had frequent conflicts with the [[Kingdom of Chron]]. The nation is ruled by a '''Pope''', who serves as the head of state. In 4,500 ATF, Athos formed an alliance with the [[Republic of Elysia]], aiding them against Chron in exchange for the spread of their faith. Its current status after the Second Mysterious Incident is unknown.
